Left 4 Dead - PC and 360

4 Play Co-Operative Zombie Survival Game...

http://www.tech2.com/india/previews/...-4-dead/4130/0

Quote:
Simply put, Left 4 Dead is a multiplayer cooperative survival horror game. The game puts you and three of your friends in the shoes of the last known survivors of a zombie infestation. You have to slaughter your way through the thousands of 'infected' that come between you and your means to escape (which will usually be via a rescue helicopter). These 'infected' are humans that have now been converted into mindless zombies (but how that’s happen isn’t quite clear as of now). Be careful though; these infected aren’t the slow moving, retarded zombies that you see in most games (Dead Rising for instance) and Hollywood flicks; in Left 4 Dead, they’re fast, cunning, and have to ability to pounce on you when you least expect it. However, they’re not too threatening in one-on-one fights and you can take them down with a single well placed shot. This doesn’t make the game simple though, since they come in large numbers and can slaughter your team in no time, if you don’t coordinate.

um... yes?

And on top of that, if you've got 8, the last 4 players can be the zombie bosses:

Quote:
In a standard multiplayer game, the 4 people that connect after the initial 4, get to select one of the mutant infested each. Although the mutants are fragile compared to the survivors, they can see their prey on the mini-map, allowing them to plan ambushes. If that doesn’t even the odds, when you play as a mutant you get to re-spawn every few seconds, making you more than just a one-time-hurdle.

I WANT NOW.

18. Release dates. Well as of this moment, it's said to be Q2 2007. I've heard Summer and Spring. We just don't know yet. But what I do know is that it's coming soon so be prepared!"

18- They talked about Spring-Summer, i bet on April-May.

Left 4 Dead-specific update will be made to the Source SDK so members of the community can make their own missions,

Are there any noticeable signs of injury? - When a player gets low on health his/her movement slows down.

How long will maps last, and how many campaigns? - Large maps are said to last upwards of 40 minutes to an hour. Four campaigns at release with five maps per campaign (for a total of 20 maps at release).
