Virused!!

I am getting bombarded with emails that have the Worm virus...subjects are like: the movie, you're approved...blah blah blah...

I ran all the exe's I could find from Symantec and it detected nothing...anyone else have a good idea?

do u know what the name of the virus is i had one that i got through an email and what it did was change important .exe files so that way the comp would reconze them the more u run ur computer the more it rewrite let me know what worm virus it is and ill see what i can do

As long as you didn't open the email attachments that actually contain the virus, you shouldn't have the virus and that's why all the Symantec exe's aren't detecting anything.

Here are a few of the subject lines I've seen from emails containing the virus. Be on the lookout for this stuff:

Re: You're Approved
Re: details
Re: Wicked Screensaver
Re: That movie

Also, the file sizes are always been 99k and 110k. The presence of the "Re:" in the subject line of an email from someone you don't even know is enough of a hint NOT to open the attachment.

One of our computers at school got the blaster worm. They were having to do a major rehaul on it yesterday. Hope you don't get it Ark. It's a big headache! People who make things like that should be put in jail, my opinion!

i read yesterday that they found the person who made the original blaster worm virus it was a 18 yr old kid can u believe that i had that virus i got rid of it without havin to wipe out everything and start over lucky me i guess
