True Grit

Curious to see if any of the Sea Snipers have seen True Grit.

I've been planning on seeing it the last three weekends, but the wife and kids have thrown a monkey wrench into it every time.

Haven't seen it because I've been working a lot lately, but everyone I know that has seen it says it's awesome so...

I haven't seen it yet, but it's on my to see list very soon....Like maybe this weekend.

From talking to those that have seen the original, I am getting the same answer...it's better than the original. The reason for that might be that the story remains truer to the book than the version by the Duke. The cinematography in the new version is supposed to be Oscar worthy.
