yea I'm undecided on it so far. Looks ok I guess but the original is the best and can't be touched.

You just can't touch the original IMO. Another problem I see is that Karate is a Japanese art from Okinawa. Okinawa ≠ China

Can't wait to see this. True you can't top the original, but this is from a little kids point of view. And plus it has Jaden Smith, and Jackie Chan two amazing actors.

Ok, so checked out the new trailer for this today. Knowing a little story background - The kid moves to China with his mom. The bullies in the film call him "karate kid". That's where the title is taken from. After watching the new trailer, I'm sold - it looks great. Is it the original? No - but I think that this remake will do the original some justice.

It still doesn't feel right calling it "The Karate Kid" Maybe "The Kung-Fu Kid" since he's learning Kung-Fu?

Maybe. But I get it and how they incorporated it into the title. I'll watch it for sure. Will Sniths kid looks good in the role, and I like how they're doing the story bringing a foreigner - an outsider - into another country.
