Looks good. May be the only Trek movie I've ever looked forward to seeing.

I will be happy if the special fx are cool. If the story is good ontop of that would be a bonus for me.

Star Trek for the 'Zack and Josh' crowd. That movie is designed to plant 14-24 year olds in theater seats for 1-2 weeks so it can make back its production budget before people figure out it sucks.

I don't know about seeing it in a theater outside of the one in my living room. I'll have to watch it at some point. I can't pass on good fx.

Young Kirk, I thought he was from San Francisco? Or was that where he was stationed?

I've always thought Star Trek was interesting, they follow almost all the rules of physics and astronomy (ya know besides the ships) and I'm a huge astronomy geek. I may pay to see it.

Never was a big fan. But, what they've accomplished is impressive considering how long ago the TV series began. They were doing Fx with strings and paper cups back then and pulled it off. I wonder if William Schattner (sp?) will be making a guest appearance in this one?
