New SOCOM headsets...

Where can I get one and how much are they? It seems I can't talk to everyone due to incompatibility. Anyone know anything about this?

Ark, I am still using my old S1 headset with no problems. Are you using an ofter market headset? Mine came with my S1 game originally....................

I am using the originals also with no problems.

Logitec makes some new ones and Sony also. These two should be great choices since they where tested for SOCOM 2.

I was having problems also ARK, but mine was intermittant.

Finally got fed up and bought another one at Walmart for $30.

Its the new Logitech one and has a volumer switch and mute on the headset. Sounds clear and good.

Go to Walmart and get cha one. At $30 you cant beat it.

Snake and I have the same problem. You guys that say you have no problems, I just have one question for. I was wondering if you could hear me and Snake when we are playing with you. I know that I have played with you both and haven't been able to hear you. I just didn't know if it was mutual. If you can hear me, but I can't hear you, then that's even weirder than I thought. I think Snake is wanting the new wireless headset for Christmas. I just may have to talk to Santa for him! lol

A good test is to go into single player mode ... if it works there, then the problem is not your headset. Also try it in single player mode in Socom 1.

That is what I did. Every1 could hear me but I couldnt hear them. It was intermittent, would work sometimes, not other times. I just got tired of monkeying with it and bought a new one.

And VET ... thats the advantage of being a little older ... when I was your age throwing down $30 buck was a big deal. Now its not quite so a big deal because my mortgage is not as high as others, etc. and the pay does get better when you are older.

My SI mic boroke and i had to buy a new one, i got a $40 Logitech one for SOCOM. I got it at GameStop, i personally think that it is not worth that much, since its almsot the exact thing as SI mic.

Jess, I know that Snake can hear me, but I can't hear him. When I was in a room with him we had to have people act as a third person to send his messages to me.

The new headset is great. The quality is excellent and it's more comfortable than the old stock one. I suggest everyone pick it up. Plus, EBgames offers a 1 year warranty for 5 bucks on it. Good stuff.
