the picture will become clearer as the announcements come down the pipe.
But Valve seems tow ant to enter the living room space. Their only hurdle will be convincing people(and by that I mean the general public of derpers) that its just as easy to use as a console. DatGuy "doubts my connections". |

Just gonna be tough. The console market has been dominated by the big 3 for so long. Im all for it, just think it's gonna be a steep climb for them.

I just want some more details here, especially about the streaming feature. If I can install steam OS on my old laptop, have that hooked to the TV to stream my PC games through, while my beast of a desktop handles all the processing....Im fucking sold...thats a $0 investment

Like i said, uphill climb. All i have to do to play great games is turn on my xbox. I dont need to launch origin or steam or vent or teamspeak or any other 3rd party or alternate app to play a game. I just turn it on and play.

it will be an uphill climb, even if it is just as simple as that. The names of the other consoles are so ingrained in peoples heads it will be hard to break into that space.
but as far as assumptions go, we'll have to wait and see what Valve has put into it. DatGuy "doubts my connections". |

I just wish the rumors about the steam box were true. It would kick the ass of Microsoft and Sony once non steamers learned what is was.

I don't know man, fans and other companies have done a good job at making the rumor very believable and Valve has done a very good job at assuring people that it isn't true.
However I will be optimistic and keep hope in my heart and take your word on it. You either die a hero, or live long enough to see yourself become the villain. |
