Yes I did and I loved it.
Unfortunately they decided to make POP2 a little more adult oriented which deters my purchasing since I have young people in my household. Otherwise I would have purchased this one too. I really loved the puzzle and solving aspects of this game. |

(As far as I understand it, it's not like "R" rated... it's just more scary... and there's chicks with big boobs... and a stupid story line) http://www.penny-arcade.com/view.php3?date=2004-12-03 |

about 30 minutes into the game.
1st impression? It sucks. 2 minutes into the game, before I have done ANYTHING, I had to fight a boss who was freaking impossible. spent the next 28 minutes beating her and getting to a save point. |

I did play past the boss for a bit and it DID turn into the platformer, but it's got WAY too much fighting in it. And while I'm all for a good fighting game, Soul Caliber 2 it is not.
I haven't had a chance to get back to it... My Clan has been a wee bit busy the past few days and I've had to spend my videogame time on the PC... I've got off on Friday and I'll try again then. I suppose my opinion is tainted since I played the third one and freaking LOVED it. Honestly, I've played all of them, and I'll probably force myself through this one to say I've played all four. I think this review Tycho from Penny Arcade gave it is pretty acurate to how I feel: Quote:

played the game for another 2 or 3 hours.
Still sucks monkey balls. It's almost awesome, which, of course, is why it sucks. I don't think I'll ever finish it, and I'm gonna sell it back to EB next time I go to pick up a game. |
