Hooking up a 360 to a monitor with sound
Anyone know how? I just want to plug the 360 into an old CRT monitor which i can do with the VGA HD adapter which also comes with sound cables, but how do i hook them up to like my PC speakers?
My speakers dont have any outputs i dont think, do i hook it up to my computer? Do i have to run my PC and the 360 at the same time just to get sound? |
Either of these might work? Depends on what type fo connectors you have on either end or your speakers and the vga to hdmi adapter. Dude theres an adapter for everything. You could probably find an adapter to charge your ipod on a space shuttle...lol.

Thanks bud, those links dont work for me, but i know i can get that vga hd adapter to work, its just the sound that i want to see if i can get to work. I think i have a diff set of speakers that might work. Actually, i think i can just plug the audio out (which goes to my computer now) to the plug that comes with the vga hd adapter. Ill have to try it i guess lol thanks!

How's the quality on yours? I have mine set up to an semi-older monitor and it still looks ok.

Thats what I use, the graphics are awesome on my laptop. |
i just bought the vga hd adapter and it works great, plugs into the vga port on your monitor and your rca jacks on your speakers. on a crappy crt monitor, im getting like 1300something x something which is already way higher than a 1080p tv.

1080 is 1920x1080 so your 1300x whatever isn't quite there but getting close.
|
um huh?

Heh...

Hrm... actually, isn't a LCD monitor ALWAYS interlaced? and a CRT always progressive? |
ok guess the numbers aren't comparable then, but shit, it looks tight on my CRT!

Umm, yeah...What ya'll said...:DANCING-banana-032:

:thinking-018:90% of the time.... a 360 looks best when the resolution is set to a 720p format. :thinking-018:
|
Depends on the game. I like my 1080p, provided the game supports it at that resolution.
